Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Apprentice to join our team in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning and developing their skills in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, multi-skilled maintenance, machining, production, tool making, CNC programming, production engineering, and electronic engineering.

The apprentice will work with us for 4 years, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering. This will result in a nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering and a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Making a technical contribution to the design, development, quality assurance, manufacture, installation, commissioning, decommissioning, operation, or maintenance of products, equipment, systems, processes, or services.
  • Applying proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problems.
  • Demonstrating effective interpersonal skills in communicating both technical and non-technical information.
  • Having a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Working safely, with regard for your duty of care to yourself and to others who may be affected by your work.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Keeping others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team, department, or company.
  • Working with MGTS external assessor to produce workplace assessment training plans.
  • Attending lectures, practicals, and visits as per the training provider learning plan.

This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in engineering. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
