Job Description

As a Mechatronics Engineering Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic, and control systems; mechanical engineering principles; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; and safe working practices.

You will be responsible for installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment, fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues, as well as planned and preventative maintenance activities.

This is a hands-on role that requires you to apply your knowledge and skills across multiple engineering disciplines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for engineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team.

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths, English, and a science/technology subject, is required. If you already have a higher degree, or are studying towards a higher degree, in the same field or a related one, you will not be eligible for this apprenticeship.
