We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Asset Coordinator to join our team at a busy distribution centre in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Level 2 qualification in Mechanical Engineering who is looking for a new challenge.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role and be confident in their ability to maintain and repair mechanical assets. They will be responsible for the schedule of planned maintenance of high volume picking machinery and ensuring all maintenance of service documents are kept up to date.

In this role, you will also assist with managing external contractors and develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to read assembly drawings, strip and reassemble machinery using hand tools. They will also have knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and be proficient in CMMS use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair mechanical assets through regular scheduled maintenance.
  • Assist with managing external contractors and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all maintenance of service documents are kept up to date.
