Academic Skills Coach

You will support apprenticeship learners who require a functional skills qualification, being organized and methodical with a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering functional skills English and mathematics, familiarization with the functional skills assessment process, and prior approval with an Awarding Organisation (preferably Highfield ABC). A Post 16 Tutor Qualification (PTTLS, AET, Cert/Ed, PGCE etc.) is also essential. The role requires managing a caseload of learners, providing pastoral support and mentorship, and maintaining a strong link with the wider delivery team to communicate essential information pertaining to individual learners. Additionally, the candidate should be able to drive the quality of education across all areas of responsibility, conduct monthly interventions, monitor progress, and set action plans as needed. Other key responsibilities include creating weekly and monthly reports pertaining to 'at risk' learners in relation to funding compliance and reporting non-engaged employers and learners to the Apprenticeship Manager and lead on associated remedial action. This role is based at National Skills Agency Ltd where you can work closely with a team to deliver exceptional results.
