Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date VAT records and accounts
  • Liaise with HMRC on VAT-related matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Provide VAT advice to internal departments, ensuring accurate and timely implementation of VAT strategies
  • Assist with VAT audits, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of audit requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on best practices
  • Contribute to the development of VAT strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Assist in the training of staff on VAT matters, ensuring accurate and efficient implementation of VAT knowledge
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in VAT accounting, with a strong understanding of VAT legislation and regulations
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal departments
