Location: Hybrid Working

Rate: Up to £850 per day

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible)

Contract Term: 3 months (Potential for Extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial leadership of our organization, ensuring sound financial management and strategic decision-making to deliver quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and oversee all financial operations of the ICB, ensuring compliance with NHS financial regulations.
  2. Provide strategic financial leadership, supporting the Board in making informed decisions regarding resource allocation and financial planning.
  3. Develop and implement financial policies, strategies, and procedures to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Monitor financial performance, preparing detailed reports and financial forecasts for stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure the financial sustainability of the ICB, while maintaining a focus on improving healthcare outcomes.
  6. Manage relationships with key external partners, including NHS England and local authorities, to secure funding and resources.
  7. Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Essential Skills and Experience
  1. Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within the NHS or a public sector environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of NHS finance and the regulatory frameworks governing financial management in healthcare.
  3. Proven ability to provide strategic financial advice and lead complex financial planning processes.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information clearly.
  5. Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with both in-office and remote working arrangements.
