Financial Director

Zest4Talent is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join a renowned charity based in Guildford, Surrey. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the finance team and providing strategic financial guidance to the board of Trustees and Chief Executive.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Finance Director, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit organisation. A qualified accountant (CIMA or AAT) with a working knowledge of transaction processing software is essential. The successful candidate will be confident, self-motivated, and have an interest or experience within the charity sector.
The Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Financial control, including financial management, annual reports and accounts, month end, Profit and Loss, budgeting and forecasting, VAT, cash handling, payroll, and balance sheet.
- Identifying financial opportunities for the charity, including investment and fundraising.
- Working closely with the Trustees and Chief Executive to provide reports and advise on key financial decisions.
- Negotiating key commercial contracts.
