About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in the Planning Discipline of Integrated Project Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining project schedules/plans for the Central Controls Team or one of the Programme Controls Teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate maintenance of the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) in adherence with HPC processes
  • Management of Level 3 (contract) schedules
  • Provision of time-related data and analysis to support EDF Energy in making informed decisions
  • Collaboration with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls and Project Support Functions to deliver project goals
  • Maintenance of an awareness of schedule interfaces with other Programmes and their potential impact
  • Production and maintenance of the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6)
  • Ensuring the Level 2 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe for monthly reporting
  • Ensuring project Level 3 schedules are updated when required to reflect work progress and performance
  • Ensuring contractor schedules are produced in accordance with project processes and align to the IWS forecast position
  • Maintenance of daily and weekly work planning in 4D model
  • Quality checks on Scheduling data
  • Identification, analysis, and provision of solutions to time-related issues
  • Coordination and production of schedule reports to a defined reporting cycle
  • Assistance in the Trend & Change process, including analysis of schedule impact, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities
  • Adherence to Project governance and Scheduling standards and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, or another related field
  • Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Scheduling role
  • Experience in the use of scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6 version 7 and above
  • Knowledge of other Disciplines of Project Controls (particularly Estimating, Cost, and Risk) including management techniques and associated software
  • Understanding of earned value analysis
  • Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC
  • Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis techniques
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Working knowledge of French and/or Chinese languages an advantage
  • Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status
  • Experience of commercial contracting
  • Relevant degree in the built environment, business/management studies, etc., or NVQ level 3
  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on
