Project Scheduler

Mace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduler to join our team in the planning discipline of integrated project controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining project schedules/plans for the central controls team or one of the programme controls teams.

- Timely and accurate maintenance of the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) in adherence with HPC processes.
- Management of Level 3 (contract) schedules.
- Provision of time-related data and analysis to support EDF energy in making informed decisions.
- Assist and support the central controls team to ensure alignment with the Level 2 (client) IWS.
- Support the IPC planning manager and/or PCM in the implementation and maintenance of integrated project controls processes for planning.
- Collaborate with other disciplines of integrated project controls and project support functions to deliver project goals.
- Maintain an awareness of schedule interfaces with other programmes and their potential impact.
- Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6), with fully logic-linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Ensure the Level 2 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe for monthly reporting.
- Ensure the project Level 3 schedules are updated when required to reflect work progress and performance.
- Ensure that contractor schedules are produced in accordance with project processes and ensure that they align to the IWS forecast position.
- Maintain daily and weekly work planning in 4D model.
- Provide quality checks on the scheduling data.
- Identify, analyse, and provide solutions to time-related issues.
- Coordinate and produce schedule reports to a defined reporting cycle.
- Assist in the trend & change process, including analysis of schedule impact, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
- Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or another related field.
- Proven relevant experience in a project management or project controls environment in a similar scheduling role.
- Experience in the use of scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6 version 7 and above.
- Knowledge of other disciplines of project controls, including estimating, cost, and risk, and management techniques and associated software.
- Understanding of earned value analysis.
- Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.
- Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis techniques.
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Working knowledge of French and/or Chinese languages an advantage.
- Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status.
- Experience of commercial contracting.
- Relevant degree in the built environment, business/management studies, etc., or NVQ level 3.
- Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
