As a Geotechnical/Geo-environmental Engineer with our client, you will be involved in diverse projects, based in Sheffield. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site visits for tasks like trial pitting, soak-away testing, and supervising borehole investigations.
  • Overseeing construction activities such as inspecting foundations and managing remediation of contaminated sites.
  • Generating Phase 1 and 2 geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation reports.
  • Preparing coal mining risk assessments and earthworks strategies.
  • Engaging with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
  • Providing expertise on geotechnical parameters for foundation design and conducting risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • A strong Degree or Masters in Geology, Geography, or Civil Engineering.
  • Active pursuit of professional development with relevant bodies like the Geological Society or Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Technical experience across various geotechnical/geo-environmental projects.
  • Ability to oversee site investigations and produce comprehensive reports.
  • A valid driving license is a must, with mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
