Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Procurement Specialist to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the pipeline of upcoming capital projects, collaborating with stakeholders to pre-plan procurements, and selecting the most effective procurement routes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the pipeline of upcoming capital projects, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to pre-plan procurements, ensuring that the most effective procurement routes are selected.
  • Undertake procurements for construction, IT, clinical equipment, and other capital items, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement rules and policies.
  • Manage high-value major project procurements, working with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply CIPS Level 6, MCIPS (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of three years' procurement experience, with a minimum of three years as a recognised negotiator.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and implement change in a challenging environment, with strong persuasion and influencing skills.
