Job Summary

Principal Medical Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our clinical operations and clinical management of patient care services within the practice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical and operational leadership to staff and patient care in accordance with our clinical model.
  • Monitor and evaluate access performance and report areas of concern or underperformance.
  • Ensure the practice delivers excellent patient care and puts the interests of patients at the forefront of decisions.
  • Take lead responsibility for ensuring a positive patient experience of the service and monitoring and leading improvements in conjunction with annual patient surveys and Quality Assurance Framework.

About Us

Principal Medical Limited is a successful not-for-profit, GP-led organisation providing various NHS community and primary care clinical services to patients across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. We have evolved as a NHS healthcare provider since 2004 and have grown significantly, now employing around 300 staff with a turnover of circa £16m.

Qualifications

  • Specialist practice qualification or equivalent academic postgraduate study and experience
  • Evidence of management experience
  • Graduate Diploma/Degree in an Allied Health Profession
  • Registered to practice with Health and Care Professions Council

Experience

  • Evidence of management experience
  • Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the healthcare industry, with a track record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial performance

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire teams
  • Drive enthusiasm for clinical excellence using evidence-based practice and clinical networks
  • Able to support, manage and develop a diverse workforce, recognising and valuing their different backgrounds, individual and specific needs

Reporting Lines

  • Directly reporting to the Business Manager with additional clinical input to the Medical Director and dotted line to the Director of Primary Care
