About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our team at W Edinburgh. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility.
