Job Title: Payroll Manager Grade 16

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team in delivering an excellent proactive service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our payroll service, ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the performance of a team and foster a culture of improvement and best practice.
  • Lead in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll service.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve payroll operations and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • CIPP Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team, working to tight deadlines and resolving conflicting issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK payroll legislation and systems, particularly Oracle Fusion.
  • Knowledge of industry best practice and promoting different ways of working.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and legislation in a payroll context.
  • Strong analytical and process design skills.
  • Ability to plan, manage and monitor work programmes to achieve set deadlines and targets.
