Job Description

Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor

Job Summary:

Venn Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice to the organization, supporting a wide range of legal matters, including research funding, grants, procurement, and employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on the legal ramifications of decisions in areas such as funding bodies, property leasing, procurement, and employment tribunals.
  • Oversee contracts related to funding bodies, property leasing, procurement, and employment tribunals.
  • Establish and lead a newly formed legal department, managing a team of up to 10.
  • Enhance the legal team's visibility within the organization and contribute to reputational management efforts across various legal issues.

Requirements:

  • A credible, senior-level legal professional with broad qualifications, capable of providing robust, actionable advice rather than direct legal representation.
  • Proven ability to advise on complex legal matters with clear communication of risks and consequences.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and structure a legal team effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite for handling legal documentation and team management tools.
