Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Watkin Jones finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the Group's internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations, and playing a crucial role in the statutory audit process. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the Group Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Key role in the year-end audit process, including providing technical accounting analysis, leading discussions with audit specialists, and managing information requests.
  • Manage areas of technical accounting, including IFRS 15 revenue analysis, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and disclosure reviews.
  • Work with external tax advisors to complete consolidated corporation tax workings for the Group.
  • Consolidate the Group tax provision (corporation tax) and prepare for the annual financial statements.
