AIG is seeking a highly skilled Regional Property Wording Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of superior policy wording solutions. In this senior role, you will work closely with underwriters, legal, claims, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure that policy language meets AIG's global standards and reflects underwriting intent.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze Commercial Property policy language, providing guidance to underwriters on best practices and drafting endorsements to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish policy wording guidelines and counsel underwriters on best practices.
  • Develop and deliver policy wording training to underwriters, ensuring they have the necessary skills to create effective policy wording solutions.
  • Drive coverage certainty by establishing policy wording guidelines and counseling underwriters on best practices.
  • Review competitor forms and make recommendations to the Global Property Wording Manager on acceptability and required endorsements.
  • Draft manuscript endorsements to AIG's standard policy forms and create bespoke endorsements for third-party policy forms.
  • Support the Global Property Wording Manager in maintaining and updating manuscript policy checklists to ensure policy reviews align with AIG's underwriting intent.
  • Contribute to Underwriting Bulletins and other communications to provide underwriters with direction and insight on policy wording and usage.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Global Policy Forms Library and Digital Workflow.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in policy language analysis and drafting.
  • Knowledge of UK Property markets and policy forms, with international experience and knowledge of wordings and insurance legal environments a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple disciplines, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Prioritizing and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and respond promptly to underwriters' queries.
  • Client service skills, with the ability to anticipate client needs and act proactively.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and deliver effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with AIG's global standards.
  • Learning agility, with a willingness to continually learn from experiences and new situations.
  • Forms management skills, with experience in building out and maintaining forms libraries a plus.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with expertise in Word, Teams, and PowerPoint required, and familiarity with Excel preferred.
