Job Description

**Production Engineer - Robotics and Automation Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team at Melbreck Technical Recruitment Ltd. As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of automation and robotics solutions to support the manufacture of our existing and new product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering reviews of all customer orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and works order information on our manufacturing system.
  • Communicate and support drawing issues and changes with production teams.
  • Administer controlled builds and maintain the accuracy of Manufacturing BOMs.
  • Review, control, and implement effective and efficient improvements to engineering specifications.
  • Develop and maintain the practices necessary to achieve excellent standards through 5S and Visual Factory.
  • Assist with the specification, set-up, and commissioning of new robotic equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for initial program generation and adjustments on existing products.
  • Deliver requirements based on control, systems, and procedures of all MIG, MAG, GMAW, and TIG welding processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to all associated departments with welding matters.
  • Implement and control a stock management system/routine of welding spares.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Engineering or 5 years relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of robotic applications.
  • Robotic programming and maintenance capability.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma in the manufacturing field.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with good negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Proficiency in computers.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
