Piling Contracts Engineer – Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd

Salary: £30 - £35K + Package
Location: Surrey
Regions: London, South East, Surrey

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Piling Contracts Engineer to join our team at Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a main Piling Contractor who specializes in various civil engineering sectors, with a primary focus on Piling-based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project deliverables are fully understood through handover meetings with the project team, including estimating, design, commercial, procurement, plant, and operations.
  • Monitor project performance daily with the project team, ensuring that all actions, risks, and non-conformities are closed out in a timely manner to maximize margins and reduce risk.
  • Attend site as required and as directed by the Operations Manager on complex or large projects.
  • Responsible for recording all changes to project deliverables with the customer, ensuring involvement with the commercial department.
  • Prepare and review the financial performance on a monthly basis and, where applicable, revise the project forecast weekly. Be responsible for all contract purchases/costs.
  • Work closely with the project team, including operations, pre-construction, commercial, plant, business development, and design, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a construction-related subject and preferably some experience in ground engineering operations and design.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Focused and thorough, with the gravitas and professional credibility to advise senior management when something needs immediate redress, together with the tenacity and drive to ensure that the necessary action is taken.
  • Good commercial acumen and a working knowledge of contracts.
