We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment in the Tunbridge Wells area.

The ideal candidate will have a heart for helping individuals reach their full potential in education and be committed to providing exceptional support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils in specialised support units and providing one-to-one assistance to those with SEND.

The role involves providing personalised support and guidance to students with diverse needs, assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) / Personalised Education Plans (PEPs), and managing behaviour in an effective, pupil-centric way.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

The role is full-time, and temporary-to-permanent options can be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to students with SEND
  • Assist with IEPs/PEPs and behaviour management
  • Work with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to achieve student outcomes
  • Encourage and motivate pupils
