About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in the Tunbridge Wells area. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to students with SEN, including one-on-one assistance and small group sessions.
  • Collaborate with experienced teachers to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning space that promotes the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
  • Assist in managing student behavior and encouraging positive social interactions.
  • Aid in assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • The ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations.
  • A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training.
