Join us as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at The One Group, you'll play a key role in the development of our cutting-edge automotive systems. With a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic design, you'll lead and contribute to the design and development of innovative solutions for automotive systems.

You'll use CAE tools and analysis-led design approaches to meet cost, weight, and quality targets, collaborating with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure all deliverables are met.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of innovative solutions for automotive systems.

  • Manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and drive the achievement of key deliverables.

About You:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive design and development.
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience demonstrating strong mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic design skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and detail-focused approach.
  • Experience with 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred), FEA (NASTRAN/Ansys beneficial), and CFD tools.
  • Knowledge of BS8888 drawing standards and ISO26262 exposure is advantageous.
  • Previous project engineering experience or experience within an automotive supplier/engineering service provider is beneficial.
