Ungulate and Ape Keeper

We are a registered education, scientific, and conservation charity established in 1957 and based in Devon, UK. We own two zoos in south west England, plus two local nature reserves and a National Nature Reserve. We support conservation in the UK and overseas using funds generated by visitors and the expertise and dedication of our staff.
Job DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to join our Mammal team as an Experienced Keeper. You will be responsible for the hands-on day-to-day husbandry of a large and diverse collection of Large Mammals and Primates. Your main focus will be on Ungulates, but you will also have the opportunity to work on Ape and Islands sections in the future.
Requirements- Experience in animal care or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, welfare, and conservation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with animal tracking systems.
- A competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
