Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Musculoskeletal Clinical Lead Specialist to join our dynamic team at Newham University Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing complex trauma cases and peripheral nerve injuries, working closely with our Upper Limb T&O colleagues to develop Advanced Practice clinics.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned therapist to lead by example, promoting the highest standards of personal and professional conduct and integrity. You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, effectively problem-solve, and propose solutions to complex issues. Your ability to work within set timeframes, prioritizing tasks and deadlines, will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage senior and junior staff, students, and assistants to ensure seamless operation of our Musculoskeletal Department
* Develop and implement service improvement and change projects, working across trust-wide initiatives
* Collaborate with hand therapy services at Royal London and Whipps Cross Hospitals to enhance patient care
* Demonstrate expertise in advanced UL management, risk management, and clinical audit
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring their continued professional development

Requirements
* 5+ years post-graduate experience in hand therapy or Musculoskeletal outpatients, with demonstrable knowledge of advanced UL management
* HCPC registration, DBS clearance, and evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio
* Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and collaboration abilities
* Ability to assess and mitigate risks, as well as prioritize tasks and deadlines

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
