CNC Technical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Technical Specialist to join our client's team, who provide spare parts and repair services for conventional and CNC machine tools. As a CNC Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing conventional and CNC machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for conventional and CNC machine tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize machine downtime.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Assist in installing and commissioning machine tools and their associated components.
  • Spare Parts Management: Source and procure spare parts for various machine tools and oversee their installation.
  • Technical Support: Offer expert guidance to customers on machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts replaced, to ensure traceability and quality control.
Essential Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of servicing and repairing conventional and CNC machine tools.
  • Familiarity with control systems such as FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Heidenhain is beneficial.
  • Will to travel within a 50 miles radius of Burton Upon Trent.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)
  • Expected annual salary: £34,500
  • Holidays: 31 days including bank holidays
