The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, including orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Your role will involve supporting patients throughout their journey, from initial referral to discharge and beyond, if required.

As part of this position, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the ARISE project by gathering and inputting data. This will enable you to gain valuable experience in data analysis and contribute to the improvement of patient care.

We are looking for someone who is committed to lifelong learning and is willing to undertake a one-year HNC in Healthcare Practice with the University of the Highlands and Islands. The program includes 12 units at level 7 and will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to work across all nursing settings.

The post holder will work in a busy surgical ward with 18 staffed beds, consisting of elective and trauma orthopaedics, general surgical, gynaecology, and urology. You will be involved in preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and supporting them during their recovery.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

We offer a competitive salary of £29,116 - £31,670 per annum, plus a £1,349 Distant Island Allowance, and a permanent contract.
