About the Role

The Hospital is seeking an experienced leader to fill the position of Head of Clinical Services, responsible for shaping the future of their organisation and ensuring they continue to set new standards in healthcare excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for clinical services aligned with the hospital's mission and objectives.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to department heads, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote excellence in patient care.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to set short- and long-term goals for clinical services.
  2. Clinical Operations:
    • Oversee the delivery of clinical services across all departments, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with best practices.
    • Monitor resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
    • Identify and resolve operational challenges to enhance service delivery.
  3. Quality and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health regulatory bodies, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
    • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and service efficiency.
    • Lead quality improvement initiatives to achieve clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
  4. Team Management & Development:
    • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team in line with regulatory bodies and the company values.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continued professional development.
    • Address performance issues and ensure adherence to hospital standards.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and manage budgets for clinical services, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities to optimise clinical operations and reduce costs without compromising quality.
    • Work with the finance team to track and report financial performance.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary liaison between clinical teams, executive director, and department leads.
    • Represent the hospital in professional and community forums, enhancing its reputation as a leader in healthcare delivery.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, organisations, and regulators to align services with industry advancements.
