As a Digital Communications Coordinator, you will be part of the External Relations Directorate, which encompasses UK student recruitment and outreach, admissions, applicant engagement, and marketing, communication, and engagement teams.

This placement year role is designed to give a University of Reading student the opportunity to leverage their experiences as a member of the student community to build closer relationships with prospective international students through digital communication channels. The post holder will also develop a broad skill set that can aid their career progression in marketing and communications.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to present effectively and creatively to diverse audiences
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills, with photo/video editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with social media channels and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of engaging an international student audience
