Commercial Operations Lead

As a key member of our Commercial Management team, the Commercial Operations Lead will play a crucial role in driving commercial success across our projects.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience and a strong understanding of the window/conservatory/domestic build industry, along with basic knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, Asbestos Regulations 2011, Working at Height Regulations 2005, Manual Handling, COSHH, and local authority undertakings, planning, and building regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and Building Surveyors to maximise commercial recovery and ensure effective communication.
- Oversee tender preparation, including subcontract documentation, pricing schemes, negotiation, and supply chain vetting.
- Manage subcontract order documentation, procurement, valuation, payments, and site coordination when necessary.
- Conduct regular cost and value reconciliation, updating our 'Origin' system, and completing monthly reports with the Contracts Manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the construction or home improvement industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving budgets and maintaining profitability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse problems and provide mutually beneficial solutions.
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 (neg) + Company Package, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.
