Senior Reinsurance Technician

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Technician to join their team in London. As a key member of the Ceded Re Recoveries team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of reinsurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of reinsurance purchased by the Syndicate, including dealing with claims and premium transactions.
- Assist in the quarterly Reinsurance close as per the Syndicate's Procedures Manual.
- Attend meetings and discussions with RI/Claims/Underwriting and broker teams as required.
- Authorise claim and premium transactions on LORS and accurately allocate the resulting USM cash entry within the RI System.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Syndicate's Reinsurance system.
- Collate recovery statistics when requested.
- Support the Ceded Re RI recoveries manager in all aspects of the Syndicate's RI processes.
- Provide training and instruction to less senior members of the Ceded Re Team.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Non-marine & Marine classes of business.
- Understand all Non-proportional, Proportional and Facultative Reinsurance processing.
- Have experience in London Market outwards Reinsurance processing, preferably gained working for a Lloyds Syndicate or London Market Company.
