About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Yeovil. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' homes are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting people over the age of 18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Ensuring properties are homes our customers can be proud of by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
  • Helping customers with housing benefit claims and ensuring these are received on their rent account.
  • Issuing and signing warning letters and notices, which may lead to attending court, where necessary.
  • Turning around vacant or void properties within set timescales to maximize occupancy.
  • Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
  • Knowledge of re-letting properties, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
  • A can-do positive attitude, being proactive and well-organized, and able to work on your initiative.
  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
