We embody unique values that set us apart: innovation, agility, customer-centricity, inclusivity, and sustainability. We strive to create a workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute to shaping the future of digital assets.

The Role

This strategic role requires an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to support our growing Ledger Enterprise Services (LES) business. As part of our Commercial Legal Team, you will report to the Senior Legal Director and collaborate with a dynamic team of lawyers from various backgrounds and industries.

You will be exposed to complex legal and commercial topics in the rapidly evolving blockchain and crypto industry. Your expertise will help shape our go-to-market strategies, advise on new products and services, and drive improvements in contract templates and management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support for commercial engagements and assist in drafting and reviewing agreements, including LES Agreements, sales and distribution agreements, IT agreements, marketing agreements, general terms & conditions, direct and indirect procurement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and requests for proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of new go-to-market strategies and products, and provide advice on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Research and advise on relevant laws and regulations impacting Ledger directly or indirectly.
  • Improve existing contract templates and create new ones, working closely with other functions and legal team members.
  • Define and drive improvements in the management of legal processes and contract documentation flows, approvals, reporting, and archiving consistent with internal processes.
Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned Commercial Legal Counsel with at least 5 years of experience dealing with Platform as a Service (PaaS) or similar businesses at a global law firm and/or in-house legal department. You should possess excellent experience with contract drafting and negotiation in English, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates should also demonstrate a creative and practical approach, with the ability to communicate complex information accurately and concisely to non-lawyers. Collaboration, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in on various topics and help other team members are essential qualities for this role.

  • Estimated salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
  • A competitive compensation package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • A collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • A comprehensive health insurance policy offering extensive medical, dental, and vision care coverage.
  • 28 days of paid leave per year, in addition to national holidays.
  • Access to high-performance office equipment and gadgets, including Apple products.
  • Reimbursement for preferred means of transportation.
