Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Retoucher to join our Studio & Production Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, retouched images for our e-commerce and campaign channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality assets for all Joules channels, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to produce perfect product and brand images in studio and location settings.
  • Retouch a variety of product types, including still life, mannequin, flat lays, and on-model images, meeting daily post-production targets.
  • Complete bespoke and complex post-production amendments to images.
  • Develop and apply Photoshop actions and scripts as part of the workflow.
  • Collaborate with the coordination team to ensure all product issues are flagged and retouched before distribution.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with post-production guidelines and approved ways of working.
  • Utilize and update sample and asset management documents to track assets through production.
  • Produce perfect product and brand images in both studio and location settings.
  • Complete quality assurance requests as advised by the senior retoucher or production manager.
  • Perform color correction to ensure images are consistent and accurately represent the product.
  • Maintain the digital asset library and folder structures.
  • Verify that all files adhere to asset naming conventions.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and freelance contributors as required.
  • Support the senior retoucher with team administration tasks and workload coordination during periods of annual leave.
Requirements
  • A vast knowledge of retouching techniques, essential for e-commerce and marketing imagery.
  • Extremely high competence in using the latest Photoshop software and image retouching practices, with excellent skin and product retouch techniques.
  • Ability to interpret a retouching brief with commercial understanding and brand awareness.
  • High competence in accurate color correction using physical and digital swatches.
  • Strong and confident communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good experience using MAC operating systems.
  • Experience working within a creative studio environment.
