About the Job

We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our HVDC Integrated Security Systems and Communication Systems team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer specifications to ensure that the solution meets their requirements.
  • Create technical specification documents, conceptual designs, BIM models, configure and maintain BMS equipment, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize system efficiency.
  • Produce, review, and coordinate technical information with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Review technical documents and drawings from vendors and sub-suppliers.
  • Validate design confirmations against applicable regulations and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate technical aspects of price bids for procurement.
  • Plan and follow up project activities and site activities.
  • Produce, review, and coordinate technical documentation.
  • Consult and advise project/site teams on best practices and solutions in accordance with standard processes, regulations, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ccoordinate with Civil, MEP, Electrical, and Mechanical departments.
  • Efficiently coordinate with Project/Tender Teams.
  • Effectively identify risks and opportunities.

Salary: £62,500 - £82,500 per annum

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunication.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the UK.
  • Good knowledge of international regulations and standards.
  • Experience with BIM and ACAD.
  • Site installation supervision and onsite commissioning experience is an advantage.
  • Design experience of access control systems, CCTV, intruder detection systems, public address systems, telecommunication systems, and video conference systems.
  • Familiarity with signaling, protocol testing, building management systems, coverage studies, and building automation protocols.
  • Programming languages (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), AutoCAD, and BIM360 experience required; MS Office experience essential.
