Job Title: Dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to a student with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis, ensuring their academic progress and emotional well-being.

This position is within a mainstream primary school where the successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals involved in the student's education.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Offer personalized support to a student with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
  2. Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
  3. Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times, considering any specific health or medical requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
  2. Strong understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
  3. Knowledge of evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students with SEN.
  4. Valid DBS check.

Estimated Salary: £85-£95 per day.
