Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Explosives Supervisor to join our team at Dowlow Quarry, Buxton. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of shot firing operations and be responsible for ensuring the charging and firing of production shots, as well as liaising with the driller.
Key Responsibilities- Face profiling, marking out shots, designing the blast specification, safe transfer and storage of explosives.
- Ensuring the charging and firing of production shots.
- Liaising with the driller and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Contributing to the Company's zero harm culture and adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental management standards.
- NVQ level 3 in shot firing and MPQC shot firing/explosives supervision card.
- Quarry passports and tickets for 50T loading shovels and 40T articulated dumpers (desirable).
