Explosives Supervisor, Quarry Operations Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and hard-working Explosives Supervisor to join our team at Dowlow Quarry, Buxton. The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work, with a strong understanding of shot firing operations and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.
The role will involve face profiling, marking out shots, designing the blast specification, safe transfer and storage of explosives, and ensuring the charging and firing of production shots. The ideal candidate will have gained their NVQ level 3 in shot firing and their MPQC shot firing/explosives supervision card. Although not essential, having quarry passports and tickets for 50T loading shovels and 40T articulated dumpers would be beneficial.
