About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Innovation Manager to join our Future Horizons team at Haleon. As a key member of our R&D Packaging team, you will be responsible for defining and operationalizing strategic packaging technology platform roadmaps across key platforms, including bottles, tubes, and blisters.

As a leader in our organization, you will be accountable for the development of new-to-Haleon, new-to-category/industry packaging building blocks, and will foster strong collaboration between R&D Packaging and the Packaging procurement team to deliver the program.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and operationalizing strategic packaging technology platform roadmaps
  • Leading company-level definition, upstream development, and de-risking of 'big bet' H3 innovation for the given platform(s) of responsibility
  • Delivering through external development ecosystems to maximize the leverage of suppliers
  • Managing 'Lead investor' relationships internally with the BUs to land work product into the BU pipeline
  • Contribute to Supplier Relationship Management and leverage capability planning for the H3 priority projects
  • Driving presence and influence of Haleon R&D Packaging & thought leadership amongst our peer group for the given platform(s) of responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 7+ years of experience in FMCG Packaging Development (Consumer or Healthcare preferred) with end-to-end development experience
  • A strong track record in project and/or program management and delivery of innovation
  • Experience in complex upstream developments (Technical, Design, Innovation) and their enablers (Joint development ecosystems, Strategic Alliances)
  • Capable of operating highly autonomously with a high level of independent judgment and execution, anticipating, interpreting, and resolving complex organizational opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSc, MSEng, or PhD
  • Experience in managing technology or innovation roadmaps preferred
