The role involves ensuring compliance of incoming and outgoing materials, planning and managing internal audits, producing audit reports, and maintaining the internal quality document register.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with internal departments to investigate non-conformances, managing the non-conformance register, and performing technical contract reviews.

We are looking for a flexible and proactive individual who can represent the Technical and QA departments both onsite and at subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  4. Maintain the internal quality document register, ensuring that the referenced procedures, processes, and forms are the latest revisions and that any changes are made in good time.
  5. Collaborate with all internal departments to investigate non-conformances within the quality management system, and if required perform additional internal audits and implement preventative actions.
  6. Manage the non-conformance register in relation to both internal manufacturing and materials procured from sub-contractors. Perform weekly non-conformance review meetings, ensuring NCRs are closed in a swift manner.
  7. Investigate internal non-conformance reports using root cause analysis tools, with the aim of identifying trends.
  8. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and third-party inspectors over non-conformances raised to ensure suitable feedback and closure.
  9. Perform Technical Contract Reviews with a focus on material suitability in relation to the associated specifications/standards. Understanding testing criteria and limitations of materials. Assessment of the general technical and quality requirements of the purchase order. Ensure that the commercial department is aware of any technical deviation/cost implications that may not have been accredited for.
  10. Producing bespoke material certification following internal manufacturing processes.
  11. Be flexible in the approach to take on new tasks that arise not only within quality but also technical, certification, and engineering areas.
  12. Represent the Technical and QA departments both onsite and at subcontractors. For example, kick-off meetings, site inspection, technical audits, and expediting visits.

Requirements:

  1. Ideally degree qualified in a relevant discipline (preferred).
  2. Qualified internal auditor (9001/45001/14001) (preferred).
