About the Role

Connex Education is partnering with a dynamic Primary School in the Loughborough area to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a regular relief cover basis. The successful candidate will have strong teamwork skills and be able to support the Class Teacher in promoting the acquisition of learning goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • General classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2
  • Facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help
  • Working in close partnership with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals

Person Specification
  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years
  • Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
  • Have behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
  • Be organised and reliable
  • Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
  • Willing to go the extra mile
