About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and hard-working individual to join our team as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients on our inpatient wards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients
  • Work alongside registered nurses to provide essential nursing care for paediatric patients
  • Assist patients with daily living tasks, including washing, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Help with mobility needs and provide pressure area care
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Take and record patients' vital signs, identifying and escalating changes to a patient's condition to the registered nurse
  • Train and support new and junior team members, including student nurses

  • Ability to work flexibly across all shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and bank holidays
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet for long periods and assist patients with poor mobility
