Supportive Education Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supportive Education Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our secondary schools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and create a personalized learning experience for each student.
- Assist students with learning tasks, ensuring they have full access to the curriculum and educational resources.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering positive relationships within the school community.
- Encourage and promote independence and self-confidence among students with SEN.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible in responding to the individual needs of students.
Estimated Salary: £20-£25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
