Empowering Young People through Support and Guidance

Randstad Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 11-25 who have faced challenging life circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with young people, creating a non-judgmental space for them to express themselves.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to help young people navigate challenges and overcome personal obstacles.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans tailored to each young person's unique needs and goals.
  • Encourage educational attainment and provide educational support where necessary.
  • Facilitate workshops, group activities, and life skills sessions to promote personal development, social skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the young person's care.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting on the young person's development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a care setting with young people.
  • Knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory, and child protection policy.
  • Experience advocating on behalf of a young person.
  • Registration under the PVG scheme.
  • Full driving licence.
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
