RPS Group is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services, with a strong presence in the lift engineering sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Lift Engineering Consultant to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced lift engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consultancy services to our clients, including design, installation, and maintenance of lifts. The role will involve working on a variety of projects, from new build to refurbishment, and will require strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and installation of lifts, including specification and procurement of equipment
  • Review and comment on contractor's proposals and drawings
  • Review and comment on Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Attend pre-start meetings and site visits
  • Management of projects, including new lift and escalator installation projects
  • Account management and lift contract management
  • Accident investigation and witness testing
  • Health and safety site audits and lift maintenance audits
  • Traffic analysis and calculations
  • Specification and procurement of lift equipment
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of lifts

Requirements

  • NVQ3 or NVQ4 Lift Engineering qualification
  • Time served lift engineer with good technical knowledge of various manufacturers' equipment
  • Previous experience in lift engineering consultancy or senior project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
