We are seeking an energetic and personable individual to join our team at Shamarra Alpacas, a renowned alpaca farm located on the picturesque Banks Peninsula in New Zealand.
The successful candidate will be passionate about animals, excel in engaging with people, and thrive in an outdoor setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and interact with visitors of all ages, fostering a memorable experience for everyone who visits our farm.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver outstanding customer service and build rapport with visitors from diverse backgrounds.
- To participate in animal care and handling, including feeding, grooming, and walking alpacas in a safe and humane manner.
- To assist with guiding tours and educating visitors about the unique characteristics, benefits, and behaviors of alpacas.
- To collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive team and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with animals, particularly alpacas, horses, or other livestock, is considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable schedules is essential.
- New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa, coupled with a valid NZ driver's license, is mandatory.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary of $NZD 62,500 - $82,000 per annum, depending on experience, to ensure that our team members feel valued and motivated to excel in their roles.
