GSL Education is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in a SEMH school in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, fostering a nurturing and respectful relationship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing behaviour management strategies in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborating with fellow staff members and parents to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Upholding the values and ethos of The Compass Academy, promoting a culture of respect, resilience, and success.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs of students and the demands of the school environment.
