Position Overview

As a Security Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of physical, relational, and procedural security within our Medium Secure Unit. This position requires a dedicated individual who is both self-motivated and efficient, capable of working collaboratively within a team as well as independently. Candidates with prior experience in secure environments are preferred, and a solid understanding of security concepts is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with risk management and health and safety protocols.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to staff regarding security-related matters, contributing to comprehensive risk management strategies.
  • Act as a role model for both staff and service users, embodying the core values of our organization.
  • Assist the Reception and Security Manager, as well as the Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Risk and Security, while remaining adaptable to the evolving needs of the service.
  • Participate in major incident planning and management within the Specialist and Complex Care Programme.
  • Work rotational shifts as required by the operational demands of the service.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in a relevant field.

  • Experience in a secure mental health setting is essential.
