About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Logistics Manager to join our team at our brand-new semi-automated distribution centre in South Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced operational environment, preferably in a start-up distribution setting. They will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 90 warehouse operatives and first-line managers to effectively manage the dispatch operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Optimise Outbound Operations: Ensure optimal productivity and effective use of labour.
  • Dispatch Orders: Guarantee all orders are dispatched on time with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Lead and Develop Team: Foster a culture of collaboration and people engagement among warehouse staff.
  • Implement Standard Procedures: Improve efficiency, safety, and quality of warehouse practices by implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics: Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Manage operational costs while ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics or distribution operations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
