Job Description

In this role as a Support Worker for Pediatric Care, you will be working in the Accident and Emergency Department of the Royal Hospital for Children. Your primary responsibility will be to provide recreational activities and normalize play experiences for children and young people during their hospital visit.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, working closely with a Health Play Assistant to manage the toys and play equipment in the designated area. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be able to support all children and young people inclusively.

Requirements
  • NC Childhood Practice qualification or equivalent Childcare qualifications
  • Experience working with children in a childcare setting (some post-qualification experience required)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Additional Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 per year, pro-rata for part-time hours. As this is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate who can commit to the duration of the contract.
