About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our SEN unit within our mainstream school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to facilitate their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to students with SEN, both in individual and group settings, to facilitate their learning and development.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students within the SEN unit.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support students' holistic development, including their social, emotional, and academic progress.
